Geology Ontario

Overview

As a result of hardware upgrades and requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), The GeologyOntario website has undergone some changes.

The new search tool has been simplified, and offers different search functions and capabilities. All the information, data, reports and maps previously archived on GeologyOntario are still available to our clients. A help page is featured on the new site to assist clients in using the new search functions. If you encounter search difficulties you may contact the ministry for assistance and we will help you as promptly as possible.

Ontario is committed to ensuring that government information and services are accessible for all Ontarians. This includes providing services and programs that people with disabilities can use and benefit from equally and in a manner that respects their dignity and independence. We are pleased to deliver our GeologyOntario services in an accessible format. If you have any questions, please contact the Publications Services Unit.

The Ontario Geological Survey continues to be a global leader in the development of geoscience data through the publication of maps, reports and digital data on Ontario's geology.

Please note that geoscience and mineral exploration data collected by the Mines and Minerals Division can be viewed spatially using the OGSEarth application (www.ontario.ca/ogsearth).
